The Chalet Woodpecker is an elegant chalet ideally situated in l'Alpe d'Huez. The chalet sits on the Avenue Eclose, which is located at the most southernmost part of the main village, just off the main road into the center of the town. The village center is only a 5 minutes walk from the busy centre of Alpe d'Huez and with the nearest skislope right outside, keen skiers will be more than content as you step out the door and straight onto the piste. The ski slope heads down towards the older village of Huez, and whilst it might not be suited beginners, the chalet is only 3 minutes walk from The telecentre lift, which will whisk them straight to the foot of the nursery area and the departure point of the main lifts. This spacious 7-bedroom chalet can accommodate 15 people. It extends over 3 floors. The interior is nicely decorated in a warm and modern alpine style. On the lower ground floor you’ll find a relaxation space, shared with the neighbouring Chalet Nightingale, complete with indoor hot tub and sauna, providing the perfect space to relax those aching muscles after a challenging day on the ski slopes.

Chalet Nightingale, which sits alongside its sister ‘Chalet Woodpecker’ is a beautifully decorated chalet, in a superb location in Alpe d’Huez. Chalet Marmotte is one of five chalets located at the top of Alpe d’Huez, situated in an enviable position right next to the pistes and the main lifts of the resort. In fact you can ski right back to your door at Marmotte, as the piste runs directly in front of the chalet from the Rond Points des pistes, whilst behind the chalet is a welcoming and attractive cobbled courtyard between the five chalets. The town centre is a pleasant 10 minutes’ walk away, where you’ll find a vibrant resort, with plenty of great bars, restaurants and shopping, plus an outdoor ice rink and swimming pool. If you don’t fancy the walk into town, then take the aerial route as the nearby caged gondola lift can transport you to different parts of the resort. There are spa facilities on the ground floor with a sauna and hot tub. From the hot tub you can open up the doors for stunning views of the piste in front of the chalet. It’s the perfect way to unwind after a tiring day of skiing and sure to ease any aches and pains away.
